WELCOME TO CENTRAL OREGON

Central Oregon (comprised of Deschutes, Crook, Jefferson, and South Wasco counties) is called a playground for a reason. With more than two dozen golf courses, 100 ski runs, 300 miles of mountain biking trails, and nearly 30 craft breweries to wash it all down, the only real question is how you will spend your days. Each season offers new adventures and experiences. Whether you’re here to relax or reach a summit, you’ll find inspiration and plenty of reasons to stay.

WHERE IS CENTRAL OREGON?

Central Oregon sits at the nexus of natural beauty in the heart of the state. The region is characterized by mountainous wonders—like Mount Bachelor, Oregon’s largest ski resort, and the snowy summits of the Three Sisters—and legendary landforms, like Smith Rock State Park and Stein’s Pillar, where rock climbers test their mettle all year long. But we’re just as proud as what you’ll see in between those outposts: towering forests, the winding Deschutes River, crystal-clear mountain lakes, thundering waterfalls, quiet high desert, intricate cave systems, sweeping lava flows—the wonder truly is endless here in Central Oregon.

And wherever you’re coming from, it’s not that far away: Roughly 30 daily commercial flights arrive in the region —making it easy to get here and kick your feet up at a local brewpub in time for happy hour.

However you arrive—and whenever you visit—the vibrancy of Central Oregon artfully blends small-town charm and friendliness with sophisticated luxury and upscale comfort. Visit Central Oregon is excited to help you discover your perfect getaway.
