Who is eligible for Transient Parking at RDM?
To qualify for the Transient Parking Program, applicants must:
- Be an active crew member of a signatory airline operating at RDM:
- Alaska Airlines / Hawaiian / Horizon
- American Airlines
- Breeze Airways
- Delta Airlines
- Skywest
- United Airlines
- Reside in Central Oregon
- Be based at an airport other than RDM
Note: Crew members from non-signatory airlines are not eligible. However, legacy applicants from non-signatory carriers who were previously approved may continue under a grandfathered status.
How do I apply for Transient Parking?
Applicants must:
- Complete and sign the Transient Parking Application Rules and Agreement found on the transient parking portal
- Submit payment for the applicable fee (see FAQ #3)

What are the permit options and fees?
Quarterly: $100
Valid for: Jan–Mar, Apr–Jun, Jul–Sep, Oct–Dec
Annual: $325
Valid for: January 1 – December 31
If not renewed, access is deactivated on the first business day of each new quarter or calendar year, depending on the permit type.
How long does it take to process my application?
New applications are typically processed within 48 hours during business days (Monday–Friday, excluding Federal holidays).
How will I be notified of my application status?
You will receive an email from [email protected] notifying you of the status of your application. Please check your junk or spam folders to ensure the message is not missed.
Where and when can I pick up my access card and hang tag?
Once approved, pick up your access card and hangtag at the Airport Administration Office:
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Location: 2522 Jesse Butler Circle, Suite 17, Redmond, OR 97756.
Administration is located across from the TSA Checkpoint.
Note: Closed on Federally recognized holidays
Hangtags and access cards (including new, updated, or replacement cards) are only issued during business hours.
How do I use my access card and hang tag?
Instructions are provided when you pick up your access card and hangtag. Key points include:
- Only one registered vehicle may be parked in the lot at a time.
- Use your access card and 4-digit PIN to enter and exit the lot
- Hang the hangtag from your rearview mirror with the printed side facing the driver.
- The hangtag must be clearly visible at all times while parked in the Employee & Transient Parking Lot.
Can I register more than one vehicle?
Each hangtag may be transferable between to up to two vehicles, but only one vehicle may be parked in the Employee & Transient Parking Lot at any time.
If you change vehicles, notify the Airport Administration Office before parking the new vehicle. A new hangtag will be issued, and the old one must be returned.
What if I lose or damage my hangtag or access card?
You are responsible for the care of your hangtag and access card. Replacement fees are:
- Access card: $25
- Hangtag: $10
Contact the Airport Administration Office to request a replacement.
What happens if I leave my airline or become ineligible?
You must immediately return your access card and hangtag to the Airport Administration Office if:
- You are no longer eligible for the program
- Your access card and hangtag expires and is not renewed
- The City revokes your access card and hangtag
No refunds will be issued for unused or partially used quarters or years, or if parking is unavailable for any reason.
Can I park a motorcycle?
To arrange motorcycle parking, please email [email protected] prior to your arrival. Be sure to Include your name, phone number, motorcycle license plate number, and the dates your motorcycle will be parked in the lot.
Can I use my permit for personal travel?
Transient parking is valid for work-related travel only. Access cards and hangtags are not transferable and may not be shared, loaned, or used by anyone else—including family members.
Is parking guaranteed?
Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis. The City does not guarantee space availability. If the Employee & Transient Parking Lot is full, drivers are responsible for finding alternate parking at their own expense.
What are the parking lot rules?
Follow these parking lot rules:
- Park only in marked spaces
- No double parking
- Follow all posted signs, traffic patterns, and applicable laws and regulations
What happens if I violate the rules?
The City may:
- Issue violation notices for non-compliance with the Agreement or airport parking rules
- Revoke your access card and hangtag
- Remove your vehicle at your expense
What if construction or maintenance disrupts parking?
The City may perform maintenance or improvements that temporarily affect access or availability. No refunds or claims will be issued for disruptions.
