2-Day Closure of OR HWY 126 Starting September 12

City of Redmond will close OR HWY 126 from SE Veterans Way to SE Evergreen Avenue, to all traffic beginning 8:00 PM on September 12, through 6:00 AM on September 15, to tie in a newly constructed roundabout at 9th Street. The roundabout is part of the Eastside Arterial Project Phase 2 construction, intended to improve access to east HWY 126, relieve congestion, and increase traffic safety in our community.

SE Jackson Avenue will remain open. Please reference the approved OR 126 detour maps available on the project website.

“Redmond City Council approved the construction of the new roundabout in late June 2025,” states Project Engineer Jake Sherman. “Since then, we have worked alongside our construction crews to make significant progress without impacting traffic and to reduce the length of this required road closure. We appreciate travelers’ patience in advance as we connect the new roundabout to OR 126 and resume east-west access.”

9th Street north of OR 126 will also be closed, routing traffic to HWY 97. This closure will be longer for the final tie-in of the 9th Street leg of the roundabout. The southbound leg down the new portion of Airport Way will not be open until next spring once Phase 3 is completed.
